Therapy in Largo, Florida

We are a group of holistic therapists specializing in breaking cycles and helping you or your family heal from difficulties. We focus on helping individuals, families and children build self-esteem, reduce anxiety, strengthen coping skills, and heal emotional difficulties.

You may have wanted to start therapy years ago but haven’t had the time or energy. You may be feeling frustrated with your teens' behaviors, struggling in your marriage, trying to understand your past better or just need support. At Therapy for Cycle Breakers we understand how hard life can be sometimes and we are here to help.

We don’t focus on any particular diagnosis instead focus on YOU and your needs. We help you look at all the ways you might be struggling such as sleep, getting sunlight, enough exercise and eating a balanced meal. So much goes into wellness not just “what’s wrong with you” but “how can we support you”. We are so glad you are taking the next step to healing!

All of our therapists have master’s degrees in mental health counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy and all have extensive post graduate training. We wanted to offer therapy in multidisciplinary approach to healing therefore our each of our therapists offer different approaches from Emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) family therapy, and adolescent therapy.

Hi! I am Jennifer Vincent. As member of the queer community myself, it was important for me to create a affirming therapy practice for not only the LGBTQ+ population but by being a safe place for all individuals.

Born and raised on the East coast. I’m not your typical therapist. I am casual over business and truly believe therapy should be real and less about the symptoms and more about the person. My counseling style is down to earth, personable, and humorous. This brave journey can be challenging, so I believe that not taking ourselves too seriously can be truly healing. I have a direct but empathic and creative role in the therapy process. Art therapy, homework, cussing (when appropriate), laughter and crying will all be a part of therapy and the long term healing. Check out my blog- What it’s like to work with me as your therapist

If you care about all that clinical stuff………… My therapy approach, drawing from several theoretical orientations, is client-centered, Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), inner child healing, strength based on the belief that every individual is unique. My experience comes from bachelors degree in criminal justice and working with survivors of violence, abuse, and crime and finding housing for families. In 2012, getting my master’s in mental health counseling to better serve those who experience trauma, childhood abuse and sexual violence. I believe we all deserve healing and leading a life we are free in.

I am a trained practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, long hikes, table top board games and spending time with my partner and our 4 dogs, YES 4- Macchiato, Ruggles, Bagel and our newest pup, Monon. My spouse and I are foster parents to high needs kids and teens.

“The experience has been more than great and I recommend Therapy for Cycle Breakers to anyone that shows interest. I have been in therapy in the past and had a bad experience that left a bitter taste in my mouth. I researched for weeks to find a place that matched my core values and what I needed in my healing journey. Naturally, I was apprehensive at first but now that I’ve been seeing someone I trust and feel safe with it makes all the difference in the world.” ~Anonymous

 FAQs

  • I do take Aetna and LYRA (EAP) all other insurances are out of network.

The reason many therapists do not take more insurances is that insurance companies have their own rules and regulations when it comes to mental health coverage. Such as they limit the number of sessions you can have, require specific diagnoses to be made which doesn’t always seem appropriate and/or they dictate the type of therapy that can be used. It’s important for the values of The Brave Life Therapy to treat all clients as individuals and not under the control of insurance companies.
